Trauma-Informed Spirituality: Walking Alongside Trauma is training for spiritual directors, pastors, ministry leaders, and students that desire to create safe and healing environments within their ministry setting.
The impact of trauma affects individuals and collective communities.
In this training, participants will learn about the widespread impact of trauma, various types of traumas, and strategies for providing spiritual companionship to trauma survivors. Leaders will also learn how to implement the six principles of trauma informed care into their ministry setting so as to promote healing and to prevent harm.
The course will conclude with emphasis on preventing and caring for burn-out in leaders who work with trauma.
