In this course of five live virtual 1.5 hour sessions, we will explore various aspects of body, presence, felt sense, movement and soul nerve through consistent practices along with new practices. Through discussion, journaling and sharing, we’ll discover our own sense of embodiment. The time between sessions will allow for integration, home practices and journaling. The emphasis will be on your own unique experience of embodiment as well as hearing other’s experiences in a safe, loving space. Home practices are encouraged along with links and articles for further learning.

Your Guide


April Brenneman

April Brenneman is a Hatha Yoga instructor and facilitator of writing, collage art and spiritual circles. She draws from various Wisdom Traditions including Christianity and Nature Wisdom. She uses images, words and body sensations to guide her participants into inner self exploration of their Embodied Felt Sense of the Divine. She completed a two year Living School Program through the Center for Action and Contemplation in 2020. She finished two 60 hour certificate programs through the Embody Lab: Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy in 2021 and Somatic Attachment Therapy in 2022. Tigard, Oregon as been her home since 1982 where she and her husband raised their five children. Two of her children had severe medical issues, which helped shape her spirituality and compassion. She enjoys the unique and incredible human beings they have become along with the delight of her three grandsons. She loves walking slowly in nature, hiking, reading, listening to podcasts, activism, and sharing her passion for embodiment with others.
